BBF - The Bluegrass Music Social Network

The Bishline Banjo fan community is much more than just a fan site. It is an interactive social network for bluegrass music enthusiasts and bluegrass musicians. This community was created to provide an interactive meeting place for banjo and bluegrass music lovers. Our goal is to create a comprehensive and interactive social network for all things bluegrass. As we grow and expand, we will strive to add features to improve your experience and create a community that is useful and engaging.

    Meet and greet other bluegrass music enthusiasts within this social forum. Get the latest information about the Bishline Banjo Company, share and discover relevant information about the banjo, banjo playing tips, and bluegrass music. Interact with other bluegrass musicians who share your passion for the genre. The Pickers Parking Lot is an interactive area where bluegrass musicians and enthusiasts congregate to discuss all things bluegrass.


  • Specific Bishline Banjo Information - Production Archives
    Bishline banjo model & serial number archives. This area of our bluegrass social network is an active archive of Bishline banjo production. Members who own Bishline banjos are listing their serial numbers, photos, and detailed information about the instrument. This area is a work in progress and will eventually be a comprehensive archive of the instruments produced by the company. If you own a Bishline banjo we encourage you to join our social community and list the details about your instrument in the model and serial number archives.

    Get the latest news, event schedules, and happenings from the Bishline Banjo Company.


  • Member Classifieds
    The BBF social network provides it's members with free bluegrass classifieds. This interactive area allows members to:
    1. List bluegrass instruments they want to sell or locate
    2. Add or locate listings seeking other musicians
    3. Add or locate listings promoting their bluegrass band
    4. Locate any listing directly related to bluegrass that provides benefit to the community


  • Member Chat
    BBF provides interactive tools which allow members to chat with each other or engage in group chat.


  • AJAX Member Messaging Center: Real Time Contact
    BBF provides an AJAX powered "real time" member messaging center. The messaging center features a "classic style" inbox, the ability to build contact lists, and real time notifications when messages are sent between members.


  • AJAX Photo Galleries
    BBF provides AJAX powered photo galleries of interest to the community. These galleries include banjo galleries and other topics directly related to the BBF community.


  • Polling Center and Demographic Results
    BBF offers the members relevant polls which will generate demographics over time about our social community. These topic-specific polls will allow the members the get an overall view of the trends developing within our bluegrass social network.


  • Banjo Lesson Videos
    The BBF members area contains free banjo lesson videos and additional lesson resources for the members. These resources include banjo lessons on DVD, banjo lesson books, tablature, and sheet music.

    The BBF bluegrass social network provides free printable chord charts for banjo. These banjo chord charts are available to the general public and include major positions, minor positions, and 7th chord positions.


  • Banjo Scale Generator ( Widget )
    The BBF bluegrass social network provides unique tools to assist students of the 5-string banjo. The banjo scale widget is a unique tool that allows the student to create and print various scale charts for the banjo.


  • Banjo Note Generator ( Widget )
    The BBF banjo note widget is another innovative tool that allows the student to create note locator charts for the 5-string banjo in the open G tuning. Identify the precise location of any particular note on the banjo fretboard.


  • Additional Resources For Banjo Players
    The BBF bluegrass network also offers additional resources for banjo players. These resources include various training tools for banjo students.
